Overview

We're seeking a passionate, results-driven Senior Professional Services Engineer to join our Professional Services team! The Senior Professional Services Engineer is a key technical contributor that works closely with customers throughout the early design stages through to the deployment phases.

You will be expected to work closely with the sales team and customers as a trusted technical adviser. You will be tasked with providing solutions to overcome networking challenges, as well as methods to streamline design and deployment and maximize customer value.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide architecture, deployment, training, health check and troubleshooting assistance to customers on or off-site
  • Interact with customers to identify the requirements of a complete and successful implementation of the solution
  • Troubleshoot enterprise networks in order to isolate and resolve problems
  • Be a subject matter expert for the organization on network architecture deployments of the solution
  • Maintain a methodical approach to task management and problem solving
  • Drive results effectively for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Engineers on account management, new opportunities and network architecture deployment designs
  • Coordinate implementations and important cut-over work
  • Contribute to building operational playbooks, best practices and other documentation
  • Collaborate with all functions of the organization to make services for customers a success
  • Identify new service offerings and help growth the services organization
  • Team-mindedness with good communication skills, positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn
  • North American location close to major airport. Willingness to travel (as much as 70% of your time may be devoted to travel within North America)

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering required. Higher education a plus
  • Minimum of 7 years hands–on experience as a vendor PS/Field Engineer or an IT Engineer
  • Hands-on experience deploying, configuring and troubleshooting cybersecurity solutions
  • Experience with deploying other network security solutions is preferred
  • Experience working with enterprise network architecture and implementation
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in networking — primarily layer 2, 3, & 4
  • Hands-on technical experience with routing, switching, 802.1Q, VLAN, LAN, WAN, VPN, encapsulation, and other network technologies
  • Hands-on technical experience with Cisco and Aruba networking solutions
  • Hands-on experience with setup and administration virtual environments (e.g. VMware ESXi)
  • Linux system administration experience with Redhat, CentOS or Ubuntu
  • Project management experience
  • Strong organizational skills, accountability on executing action items and driving progress in deployments are key to the success of this role
  • Ability to handle customer concerns through explanation of technical understanding
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications including presentation skills
  • Ability to build scripts in shell, perl or python to automate tasks is a plus
  • Security certification such as CISSP, SSCP or GIAC preferred
  • Network certification such as CCIE preferred
